Prospective Under 18 Team Manitoba Players and their Families,
First and foremost, with the start of Phase 1 of the selection process upcoming, I would like to say how excited I am to see the myriad of talent this province has to offer this year. Between our returning players, the players who have stepped up from last year and the addition of players from last year’s Red River Cup, Manitoba is in great position to medal at the 2014 Canada Cup.
Our first practice is on April 15th from 7:15 to 9:15 pm at the Winnipeg Soccer Federation Indoor Soccer Complex located at the University of Manitoba. In order to prepare for that practice, we would ask that you please have the following prepared:
- Full equipment borrowed from your home program (lower body pads included). Unfortunately, Football Manitoba does not have any equipment to lend to players.
- A piece(s) of masking tape on your helmet (front and back preferably) with your last name written clearly
On Sunday April 13th, we are asking that you please come to Football Manitoba between 12:00 Noon and 3:00 pm in order to pick up your practice jersey. For out-of-town players, please contact myself or Steve Hoel, our general manager (u18gmtoba@gmail.com) to notify us that you won’t be able to attend and we will have your practice jersey available at your first attended practice.
It is also important to note that even though our first four practices are either passing or running emphasis, they will all still be full practices with full participation and contact.

Wed April 16th : Practice 7:15 to 9:15 pm at the WSF Soccer Complex (211 Chancellor Matheson Rd)
Sat April 19th : Practice 10:30 am to 12:30 pm at the WSF Soccer Complex (211 Chancellor Matheson Rd)
Tues April 22nd : Practice 7:15 to 9:15 pm at the WSF Soccer Complex (211 Chancellor Matheson Rd)
Wed April 23rd : Practice 7:15 to 9:15 pm at the WSF Soccer Complex (211 Chancellor Matheson Rd)
Thurs April 24th : Practice 5:15 to 7:15 pm at the WSF Soccer Complex (211 Chancellor Matheson Rd)
Sun April 27th : Practice 5:30 to 7:30 pm at the WSF Soccer Complex (211 Chancellor Matheson Rd)
