This is a reminder to parents that Football Manitoba requires pre-payment by 4:00 p.m. Monday, April 21, 2014 for your child to be considered eligible for the player draft prior to Phase 2 of the U16 program. Parents may post-date their cheques to May 23, 2014. If your child makes it to Phase 2, Football Manitoba will cash your cheque as of May 23, 2014. If you child does not make it to Phase 2, Football Manitoba will not cash your cheque.
The U16 Player Draft will take place during the evening of Wednesday April 23, 2014. The coaches of the two Manitoba teams will select players by position in a modified serpentine order, designed to ensure fairness to both teams and to all athletes. The coaches will contact the parents of the athletes selected in the draft by Monday, April 28, 2014. If you do not receive a phone call, you child was not chosen in the draft. A list of the players selected to each provincial team will be posted on footballmanitoba.com after all players have been contacted.
