Football Manitoba is currently seeking a Manager for its Flag Football Program.  Flag Football was established in Manitoba in 2002 and has been one of the fastest growing sports in Manitoba. Football Manitoba would like to congratulate the winner of the VIA Rail Provincial Team Program Raffle, Randy Cathcart of Rennie, Manitoba!


Football Manitoba is seeking a Head Coach for its U18 High Performance Program (U18 Team Manitoba).  The coaching staff for this program will be on a two year rotation.  This past Football Canada Cup marks the end of the current coaching staff’s engagement and we will be welcoming applications for the next term (2014-2015).

Football Manitoba presents the 13th Man Fundraising Dinner & Live Auction on November 23, 2012 at the Viscount Gort Hotel. Proceeds from this event go toward assisting Football Manitoba's ongoing efforts to initiate, manage and provide programs, services and events that promote participation and excellence in amateur football within our province.

The Football Manitoba Hall of Fame was established in 2010 to honour these players, coaches, officials, builders and teams who excelled or made significant contributions over the years in their respective disciplines to amateur tackle football. As well the Hall was established to preserve the history of amateur tackle football in Manitoba.
The 2012 Flag Football U-16 and U-18 National Championships are coming to Southern Ontario’s Golden Horseshoe region, July 27 - 31 in Burlington, Ontario. The Flag Nationals will be hosted by the Ontario Football Alliance (OFA) in conjunction with Burlington Minor Football Association at Appleby College in Oakville, Ontario. The championships return to the province of Ontario after Football Nova Scotia successfully hosted the event at Dalhousie University.

THE NATIONAL COACHING CERTIFICATION PROGRAM


Since 1997, the emphasis of the NCCP has been on developing competent coaches – an exciting step towards helping them to become more effective and have a more meaningful impact on an athlete’s development and experience. Football Canada’s Long Term Athlete Development Model is the basis for its NCCP, because it places the participant/athlete first and the coach is at the centre of the athlete’s develop.

A high profiled event that showcases various members of the amateur tackle football community in a series of championship and exhibition games held at one venue over two days. The event is a culmination of the participants league play, play-offs and regional finals. Almost all levels of our amateur football community participate in this event from terminator (7/8) up to our Major Teams (18-22).

Football Canada has changed the amateur rule book with specifics to the visor policy. There is a strict no tinted visor policy. This goes for all age groups and will be enforced by the officials. So, no more need for ophthalmologist notes or signed documents. Please notify all of your teams, schools, or clubs.
