U18 Blue & Gold Roster Announced

It is with great excitement that I announce the 2014 Blue and Gold Roster for the U18 Program.
To begin, I would like to thank all of the players for their contributions, the parents for their continued support and the trainers, managers and other coaches for their incredible hard work. All involved in Phase 1 have made it wonderfully successful beyond even my expectations. Even though our goal was to take only 60 players, the amount of talent in this group and the pressure from our position coaches to have more time to evaluate means that we have selected 72 players. Take this as a sign of the incredible competition that has occurred over those seven practices.

To the players not on this list; do not stop. Do not allow circumstance to stunt your growth. Though I know this may be a disappointment, perhaps even a surprising one to some of you, take it as motivation. If you are eligible for the program next year, come back and show us your growth. Show us that this is still your team, you just need another year. We already know it about you. If you aren’t eligible, show us in the season. Take this as a chip on your shoulder to your program and dedicate yourself to trying to prove us wrong.

If you would like a phone call, please indicate so in the e-mail. I ask for the e-mail first to contact positional coaches to get their input prior to calling you.

To the players on this list; do not stop. Do not allow this to equal complacency. You are not done and we are not where we need to be. We will be practicing during the week of May 26th leading up to the Blue and Gold Classic against an All-Manitoba team on May 31st.
