Football Manitoba is pleased to present Championship Weekend 2014 at Investors Group Field – 315 Chancellor Matheson Ave. – Saturday, November 1 & Sunday, November 2, 2014.

This memo contains general information for all members of the amateur football community. Please distribute and profile copies to appropriate members of your club, team, league or association. You may also view this memo at www.footballmanitoba.com in the section identified as “Championship Weekend”. The content of this memo is subject to change.

Team Arrival Times

All teams should arrive at the stadium one (1) hour before their kickoff time. There will be time allotted to each team for their pre-game warm-up on the field. See attached Dressing Room Schedule as to when each team will be allowed access to their dressing room.

Welcome Packages:

Welcome packages will be distributed to all teams. The packages will include this information bulletin, the 2014 Championship Weekend Souvenir Program, sponsor giveaways and promotional items, Winnipeg Blue Bombers information, flag program information and U14 / U16 / U18 provincial team information.

Lightning Policy

Championship Weekend 2014 will abide by the Football Manitoba Lightning Policy. See attached Lightning Policy form.

Medical

See attached Emergency Action Plan Sheet.

Officials:

Please inform Corey Weir at communications@footballmanitoba.com of the roster of officials scheduled to participate at Championship Weekend 2014 AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. This list may also include those individuals handling yard markers, etc.

For the Crunchers Round Robin, coaches will officiate their own games (one coach from each team). Please bring a whistle, ball, and kicking tee to the games.

Parking

Parking will be free of charge and is available in the stadium lot and the U lot (across the street on Chancellor Matheson Road).

Entering the Stadium

All teams and game officials will enter the stadium through the IGF loading dock (at the north end of Ken Ploen Way, off of Chancellor Matheson Road). The exception to this is the Old Dutch Crunchers, who will enter through the Bomber Store.

All spectators will enter the stadium through the Bomber Store.

Event Tickets

Tickets may be purchased on Championship Weekend through the Ticketmaster outlet located inside the Bomber store near Gate 1.

Admission: prices do not include agency fees & taxes

Adults: 1 Day Pass: $10.00

Children (aged 3-17): 1 Day Pass: $8.00

2 years and under: “Free on the Knee”

**Ticketmaster will have two open terminals during Championship Weekend. Please prepare for early arrival to avoid waiting in line.

Fans attending Championship Weekend who wish to also watch the Bisons play, can visit www.ticketmaster.ca and enter the promo code FBMB to purchase a two-for-one deal to the Bison game.

Event Passes

Those who require a Championship Weekend Event Pass can pick up their pass at the News Conference (NOON, Thursday, October 30, 2014 at the Sport Manitoba Hall of Fame), arrangements may be made for pick up at the Football Manitoba office prior to Championship Weekend (506-145 Pacific Avenue), or at the Football Manitoba table at the IGF loading dock on Championship Weekend. On Saturday, November 1, event passes will only be available for pick up between 4:00pm-6:30pm.

Customer Service Table:

Football Manitoba will be providing a customer service table for our members and spectators. The table will be located outside the Bomber Store entrance and will feature merchandise, programs, sponsors, 50/50 winner pick-up, and on-site Football Manitoba representatives to answer questions about Championship Weekend or future Football Manitoba events.

Merchandise:

Football Manitoba will have hoodies, toques, and scarves available for purchase on Championship Weekend. Merchandise will be located by the Customer Service Table.

Hoodies – $65.00

Toques – $15.00

Scarves – $15.00

Fans/Parents

Fans and parents are able to sit on the east side of the stadium between sections 110 and 105. There will be one large concession open on the east side. Three washrooms will be open between the south end and east side of the stadium.

Volunteers:

Football Manitoba is still seeking volunteers to assist with a variety of activities at Championship Weekend (ie. team marshalls, program/merchandise sales & 50/50 sales, etc.).  If anyone in your organization is interested in assisting, please contact Larissa Lockerby at events@footballmanitoba.com or by calling (204) 925-5771.

Press Box Accreditation:

Please be advised that all credentials are issued to specific individuals and are non-transferable. Please contact Corey Weir by telephone at (204) 925-5769 or communications@footballmanitoba.com in order to request accreditation.  Accreditation allows access to the press box area at Investors Group Field and will only be issued to authorized personnel Authorized individuals accept the accreditation with the understanding that such accreditation will be used for the purpose for which they were issued without exception.  Violation of this policy will subject the bearer to ejection from the press box.  Deadline for this request is 12:00 NOON WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 29, 2014.  A request for accreditation is based on working function and does not guarantee approval.

Photography:

Football Manitoba will be taking photos throughout Championship Weekend, which can be viewed atwww.footballmanitoba.com/gallery. Spectators will NOT be granted access to field level to take photos. Please be aware that spectators wishing to take pictures must do so from permitted areas in the stands only.
