Football Manitoba mourns the loss of Executive Director, Shawn Coates

As most of you may already know, the football community lost a great one last week. Executive Director, Shawn Coates passed away at the age of 52. The office lost not only an Executive Director but a very good friend that will be missed dearly. The sudden passing has left many in the office shocked and deeply saddened. This week has been a rough week, but as Shawn would have wanted we have tried to pick up the pieces and continue on with the task at hand.  We also would like to thank all the ones who have called and emailed, expressing their condolences. Everyone not only in the football community but across the city and country have been very gracious in passing along very nice messages and the responses have been overwhelming, it just goes to show how great of a person Shawn was. There will be a celebration of life in Shawn's honor on Monday, January 26 at 7 pm at Canad Inns Polo Park. We will miss Shawn very much and he will never be forgotten.
