Note: This stream is for coaches who are working with athletes between the ages of 7-13. This is not a prerequisite to the Introduction to Competition stream. Please see the below steps to register for Community Sport. The Football Manitoba fee for the Community Sport Coaching Clinic is $150.00 (+ GST).

Community Initiation – Novice Coach Clinic Schedule
Day 1:

Note:
Coaches that have completed the “online modules” along with the above training are considered Community Initiation – Novice Coach “TRAINED” and have completed the “MANDATORY” training for a coach coaching player’s ages 7-12 years old. Coaches that wish to continue their personal development may start training in the Introduction to Competition stream as a Position Coach but do not need to seek certification. This stage is referred to as Community Initiation – Novice Coach “Ongoing”. The online training modules can be accessed through the Football Canada website at a cost of $40.00.
The Community Initiation – Novice Coach Stream is not a prerequisite to entering the Introduction to Competition – Position Coach Stream, however all coaches coaching player that fall into in the 7-12 year old age range “MUST” achieved “TRAINED” status as a Community Initiation – Novice Coach
Introduction to Competition – Position Coach Clinic Schedule (Standard Delivery)

Note:
Coaches that have completed the above training “MUST” complete the online Making Ethical Decisions evaluation and post workshop evaluation to be considered Introduction to Competition – Position Coach “TRAINED”. To be “CERTIFIED” as an Introduction to Competition – Position Coach Coaches “MUST” successfully complete an “ONFIELD EVALUATION”. A sample of the evaluation criteria is located on the Football Manitoba website so that coaches can properly prepare for their on-field evaluation. The cost of the evaluation is built into the cost of the clinic fees so no additional payments are required for the evaluation phase.
Coaches looking to further their development in the Introduction to Competition Stream may work toward their Introduction to Competition – Coordinator and Head Coach by completing the in class and practical training required by the NCCP. More details are available on the Football Manitoba and Football Canada websites.

Community Sport Initiation – Novice Coach

- To register for Community Sport - Novice Coach you must click the following link: http://nccp.footballcanada.com/. This will take you to the coaching link on Football Canada's website. Make sure you keep the Football Manitoba website window open so you can read the below steps to assist you in the process.
- Register for the online coaching program. This will provide you with a login and password to access the necessary tools to further your coach training and evaluation.
- Complete the Pre-clinic Preparation online.
- Register online for the “Community Sport Novice Coach” workshop of your choice.
- After you have completed this, Football Manitoba will email you an invoice. Please submit payment no later than the Friday prior to the clinic you will be attending. Football Manitoba accepts Interac, Visa, Master Card, Cash and Certified Cheques.
- Attend the “Community Sport Novice Coach” workshop that you registered for. At the workshop you will receive all Community Sport manuals and resources necessary to complete your training.
- Upon successful completion of the Community Sport Novice Coach workshop you will receive “Trained” status as a Community Sport Novice Coach.
Introduction to Competition – Position Coach

- Print off Football Manitoba’s workshop registration form, fill it out, and return it with payment to Football Manitoba.
- Attend the “Introduction to Competition Position Coach” workshop that you registered for. At the workshop you will receive all Introduction to Competition Position Coach manuals and resources necessary to complete your training.
- Upon successful completion of the Community Sport Novice Coach workshop you will receive “Trained” status as a Introduction to Competition Position Coach.
